When you are out exploring Easter Ross you have to make some time to visit the beautiful hamlet called Edderton, this historical hamlet lies on the shore of the Dornoch Firth giving you the most spectaculat view out into the water.
It also has the most impressive church built way back in 1743, as well as a standing stone belived to date back to befor 1000BC, suggesting this little hamlet has been a settlement for thousands of years and steeped in pictish history.
Even more exciting due to the areas brewing and distilling, Edderton is very much associated with a history of smuggling. The 1st legal brewery was built away back in 1749.
