Angus and Julie MacLeod, owners of the Old School House, would like to offer you a warm welcome to our self-contained apartment. We hope that you enjoy your stay.
.
The Old School House was built in 1890 and re-furbished and extended out to the back in 2007. The present layout consists of the main house at the front and three self-contained apartments which have interlocking doors which separate the apartments with the option to open up the whole house as one.
.
You are staying in the middle of the three apartments, known as apartment two. There is an interlocking door to apartment one at the back of the kitchen and an interlocking door to apartment three from the main apartment room. These doors will remain locked during your stay for your security and privacy.
.
The garden grounds extend to two acres and you are free to use the grounds for your recreation and leisure. There are some resident birds of prey and we get the occasional visit from deer in the field behind us. In Spring time the surrounding fields are bustling with baby lambs. The tree line behind the house marks the start of the Morangie Forest with its wonderful walks and cycling trails. Our closest neighbours are nearly half a mile away.
.
You can be walking on our wonderful beaches after a short car journey. We have fishing and golf courses nearby, riding, bike trails, museums, distilleries and of course we are ideally placed for day trips to Skye, Inverness, John O’Groats and the NC 500. Loch Ness and the Steam Train at Fort William are an easy drive.
