WILLIE FULTON

    Born Glasgow 12th July 1945.

    Graduate of Edinburgh Collaege of Art 1967.

    Lectured in further education and secondary schools from 1968.

    Lived and works on the Island of Harris, Outer Hebrides since 1976, teaching in Sir E. Scott School for 21 years, retiring to paint on a full time basis in 1998.

    Exhibited widely, including the Royal Scottish Academy, An Lanntair, Aberfeldy Gallery, Gatehouse Gallery, Green Gallery, Gullane Gallery, Leith Gallery, Riverside Gallery, Rendezvous Gallery, Stenton Gallery, Queens Gallery, Tolquhon Gallery, Red Rag Gallery and others.

    Solo shows at, Aberfeldy Gallery, An Lanntair-Stornaway, Stenton Gallery, Rendezvous Gallery and Woodbine Contemporary Arts. Work also shown at Art Fairs in London, Bristol, Canterbury, Glasgow, Edinburgh, New York, and Cannes.

    Finalist in inaugural Jolomo landscape painting prize 2007

    His studio on the island has its own adjoining exhibition space; Ardbuidhe cottage Gallery is a five star visitor attraction, which is open from April to October and throughout the year by appointment. Visitors are always welcome.

    He is an Artist Member of Paisley Art Institute.
