A child of the fifties, I grew up in Norwich, a city girl, constantly drawn to the countryside, where I would play from dawn to dusk. This love of the natural world would constantly influence my life and work. I began my art education with inspirational teachers at school followed by an art foundation course. I then moved away to complete a BA(Hons) degree at Farnham followed by a PGCE at Reading University. I enjoyed a busy 19 years at Finborough School in Suffolk where I ran the art department. During this time I married Stephen. In my mid-forties I decided to escape from my school teaching career and combine my first loves: walking and painting. The mountains and seashores of Wales beckoned and the husband happily tagged along! My life as an artist began.
