    MIKE GRANDMAISON

Mike Grandmaison is passionate about creating exquisite images that reflect the beauty of Canada. Educated as a biologist, Mike has been photographing Canadian landscapes and natural habitats (from sea to sea to sea) since 1976. His photography truly reflects the diverse beauty of one of the earth’s last frontiers. Mike’s intimate relationship with this country’s natural landscape is showcased in a premier collection of outstanding fine art photography at ‘The Canadian Gallery’ in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada where he lives. A selection of those images are exhibited herein.

Regarded as one of this country’s fine nature photographers, his nature imagery has been featured in his bestselling books ‘Canada’, ‘The Canadian Rockies’, ‘Georgian Bay’, ‘Muskoka’ and his latest, ‘Mike Grandmaison’s Prairie and Beyond’. His award-winning imagery has been published worldwide including in National Geographic, Geo and Canadian Geographic. His images have been licensed for use by some of America's top corporations including Microsoft, Canada Post, Ford, Toyota, Smithsonian Institute and Merrill Lynch. Mike has illustrated a regular feature in Outdoor Photography Canada magazine since 2007. His current exhibition of large-scale photographs called ‘Prairie and Beyond’ is traveling throughout August 2014.

“I love to capture fleeting moments of light and exploring for pattern, form, shape, line, texture and color. As an artist, my focus is to capture the beauty of this great country and to share it with others to remind us all of the importance that a healthy environment brings to the richness in our lives”. Mike Grandmaison
