Having been madly keen on wildlife and the natural world ever since my childhood, I am now fortunate enough to have the best job in the world, that of a professional wildlife and nature photographer. Based in the small market-town of Newport in the beautiful county of Shropshire in England, my work is regularly published in an array of books and journals locally, nationally and internationally. I also co-own and run the leading wildlife photography holiday and workshop business called Natures Images, a programme that gives me the opportunity to share my passion and hopefully knowledge for this fantastic photographic genre in a responsible and enthsiastic manner. In 2011 I was pleased to win the Video Category in the British Wildlife Photography Awards with a short film of a local family of Great Crested Grebes, along with Highly Commended still images in both 2010 and 2011. I was also proud to win the overall title of Outdoor Photographer of the Year in 2011 as well as winning two categories in the same competition. 2011 also saw the publication of my first book, Wild Shropshire: locally focussed it is a celebration of my county's wildlife and wild places and was brought out to help celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the locally based Shropshire Wildlife Trust.
