The work produced here has developed into two distinctive styles, with her colourful and vibrant landscapes influenced by the Scottish countryside. Influenced by Joan Eardley and the Scottish Colourists her work is full of texture and includes added materials such as grasses, papers and other bits found on the shore. Justine’s other passion is ‘dance’ especially Flamenco dancers. She captures the movement, colour and emotion of the dance, again using texture to create swirling dresses and conveying the intensity of the performers. The influence here comes from her mother who was also an artist and from her many trips to
