JUDITH MACKAY
Painting has been my lifelong passion and growing up in the West Country brought me into close proximity with every form of wildlife which has stayed with me to this day. I am a Fine Artist specialising in painting realistic wildlife in pastel using both sketches and photographs taken on safari in Africa and here in the UK as my reference material. My paintings include many endangered species including the African Elephant, White Rhino, mountain Gorillas, Cheetah and Lemurs. I also enjoy painting British Wildlife and Birds of Prey and am happy to take commissions of both wild and domestic animals and to this end I have recently launched Judith's Pet Portraits.
I exhibit my paintings at The Association of Animal Artists, The Wildlife Art Society International and Marwell International Wildlife Art Society annual exhibitions as well as locally.
I am also passionate about conservation of endangered species and donate to a % of my sales to a number of charities including The Scottish Wildcat Association and The Cats Survival Trust for their Snow Leopard Project.
