Fin Macrae is a professional photographer and artist based in the North Highlands. Preferring to shoot traditionally, he uses medium format cameras and most of his fine art work is shot on monochrome or infrared film. Work is then printed digitally on high quality 100% cotton paper.

Focussing on the specifics within his environment Fin Macrae's landscapes are deconstructed and distilled down to the simplest details. These landscapes are mostly of Scotland but also include images from around the wold. He continues to travel extensively and always with one of his favourite cameras - a Hasselblad 500C/M shooting both landscapes and documenting life in the countries he visits.

His work has been widely published and artworks belongs in collections all over the world from Europe to North America and Asia.

When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs.

When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.
