From the age of seven there has never been a period in my life when I have not drawn or painted. Art has always been a joy, something that gave great solace. I gained my degree from Edinburgh College of Art and then studied for a further year at the famous Macintosh School of Art in Glasgow.

I was a Univeristy lecturer in design for 16 years until 2001. Now my time is spent giving workshops, demonstrations and developing my own work. I am a Colourist and Tonalist painter.  I am lost without light with my greatest influences are Alla Prima painters and painters of light. My work features in many galleries in Scotland and is in great demand.
