Bill Botten was born in the City of London in 1935.
    At 16 he started his working life as a 'studio boy' in an advertising studio and progressed through thre creative spectrum finally becoming the Art Director of a world wide paperback publishing company.
    At the age of 33 became a freelance illustrator and artist in London's Soho.
    In 1983 he left Soho for Stroud in Gloucestershire where he continued to paint and illustrate.
    He next moved to West Yorkshire where he concentrated on painting with work in local galleries.
    In 1998 he arrived in Norwich and continues his career as a painter and illustrator.
    His paintings hang in private collections in Europe, Africa and Australia.
