Bee Thomas was born and grew up in Staffordshire. She studied Ceramic Design at Stafford College of Art before moving to London and gaining a BA in History of Art at Middlesex Polytechnic. She is a qualified Garden Designer and teaches perspective drawing to fellow Garden Designers.
Her work is inspired by nature - particularly the wild coasts of Scotland and West Cornwall and the rolling countryside of South Oxfordshire, where she lives. Bee prepares for her paintings by sketching and photographing out of doors then working up the painting in her studio. She works mainly in acrylics and mixed media - on both canvas and handmade paper.
