Annabelle Dawson grew up in the north of Scotland, spending much of her time in the richly coloured, dramatic landscape. She believes this experience has hugely influenced her work, having a direct impact on her understanding of landscape and colour.
Dawson is a practicing artist and teacher. Since completing her studies at The Royal Academy of Art she has exhibited widely and has work in private collections both here in the UK and overseas. Parallel with her fine art practice she has led numerous regeneration projects and is an accomplished public artist.
"She is particularly interested in extending the expressive possibilities of colour in her painting, and is keen and quick to absorb and react to the immediate atmosphere of her life. Her work is very moving, being a direct statement from the heart to the heart." Norman Adams R.A
